Introduction
At KeySafe ApS (CVR: 20404078) we take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use and protect your data.
Data Controller
KeySafe ApS, Møllevej 9 F1, 2990 Nivå, Denmark, is the data controller for the processing of the personal data we receive about you. You can contact us at hej@keysafe.dk.
What data do we collect?
We collect the following personal data:
- Company information: Company name, email, contact person
- User information: Name, email, phone number
- Finder information: Name, phone number, email, message and optional photo (submitted by the person who finds a key)
- Payment information: Handled by Stripe and not stored by us
Purpose of processing
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To provide the KeySafe service, including notification when keys are found
- To manage your account and subscription
- To send transactional emails (find notifications, receipts, invitations)
Legal basis
The processing of your personal data is based on GDPR Article 6(1)(b) (performance of a contract) and (f) (legitimate interest in operating the service). For finder information, the basis is (f) (legitimate interest in returning found keys to the owner).
Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your subscription is active. After your subscription expires, your data is retained for an additional 12 months so you can reactivate your account without data loss. After this period, data is deleted, with the exception of information we are required to retain under Danish bookkeeping legislation (up to 5 years). You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Finder information is linked to the company that owns the key and follows the same retention period.
Sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties, except with our data processors (see Data Processing Agreement). Finder information is only shared with the company that owns the found key.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may also lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet). Contact us at hej@keysafe.dk to exercise your rights.
